Tilly LaRochelle

Movement Practitioner & Trauma-Informed Facilitation

Our movement-based programming is led by Tilly LaRochelle, a Certified Trauma-Informed Youth Yoga Instructor and a Certified Preschool Teacher in both Connecticut and Massachusetts. Her experience teaching at Head Start in Northampton over the past two years has deeply shaped her compassionate, developmentally informed approach to working with children and families.

Tilly brings a strong foundation in trauma-sensitive practices, creating environments where participants feel safe, supported, and empowered to explore movement at their own pace. Through a blend of gentle yoga, mindfulness, breathwork, and moments of stillness, she helps individuals build body awareness, emotional regulation, and resilience.

Her facilitation style is grounded in warmth, presence, and humor, key elements that foster trust and engagement, particularly for youth and individuals navigating stress or trauma. Tilly is intentional in offering choices and encouraging self-agency, ensuring that each participant’s experience remains respectful, inclusive, and adaptable to their needs.

Beyond the session space, Tilly is a strong advocate for holistic well-being and accessible self-care practices for families and communities. She brings her passion for nature, creativity, and connection into her work, often weaving in themes of grounding, play, and community-building.

Together with the Music & Sound Therapy component, Tilly’s movement-based approach helps create a balanced, integrative experience where participants can reconnect with themselves through both sound and embodied practice.

Alexandre Pazmandy

Program Leadership & Expertise

Our Music & Sound Therapy programming is led by Alexandre Pazmandy, who completed his formal training in Music & Sound Therapy at Springfield Community College in early 2024. Since then, Alexandre, alongside co-founder Tilly LaRochelle, has co-developed a range of trauma-informed programs that integrate sound, rhythm, and movement to support whole-person well-being.

Together, they have designed sessions that intentionally engage multiple domains of development, including social connection, emotional regulation, cognitive engagement, communication, and physical awareness. Their approach blends Music & Sound Therapy with gentle, accessible yoga practices, creating a holistic experience that supports nervous system regulation and encourages self-expression in a safe and inclusive environment.

A unique element of their work is the integration of mindfulness and spirituality, not as a religious framework, but as an opportunity for participants to connect inwardly, cultivate awareness, and access a sense of calm and personal grounding through breath, sound, and movement.

Alexandre’s broader background in body-based and energy-informed practices further enriches the program. As a Level 2 Reiki practitioner with training in Qigong, he brings a nuanced understanding of the relationship between breath, movement, and energetic awareness, elements that are thoughtfully adapted into sessions in a way that remains accessible, participant-led, and trauma-informed.

With over 15 years of experience as a nationally certified massage therapist, Alexandre has developed a deep sensitivity to working with diverse populations, including individuals with complex needs. While these clinical experiences are not the focus of the program, they inform a grounded, ethical, and safety-oriented approach to facilitation.

At the core of this work is a simple but powerful intention: to create spaces where sound and movement become tools for connection, regulation, and self-discovery, accessible to individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

Our Impact

Community Impact & Evaluation

At Vibes of Change, our work is rooted in a deep commitment to improving the well-being of both youth and adults through trauma-informed yoga and music-based therapeutic experiences. We create safe, inclusive spaces where participants can reconnect with their bodies, regulate their nervous systems, and build resilience through mindful movement and sound.

To understand and strengthen our impact, we implement a structured yet accessible evaluation process. Participants are invited to complete simple, reflective tracking forms that capture their personal experiences over time. These tools allow us to observe patterns such as progress, regression, adaptation, and transformation across sessions.

Rather than focusing solely on outcomes, we pay close attention to each participant’s evolving journey, recognizing moments of change, emotional release, and increased self-awareness. This ongoing data collection helps us identify trends and better understand how trauma may manifest and shift within individuals and groups.

Our approach is not clinical, and we do not diagnose or treat trauma. Instead, we serve as facilitators, creating the conditions for individuals to safely explore and express what may be present beneath the surface. When appropriate, and always with informed consent, this process can support participants in recognizing challenges that may benefit from additional care by licensed healthcare professionals.

By continuously analyzing participant feedback and experiences, we refine our programming to better serve underserved communities and advocate for the critical importance of mental health access. Our goal is to contribute to a broader ecosystem of care, where early awareness, community support, and professional services work together to foster long-term healing and resilience.

Origin Story

How it began

In 2024, when Tilly LaRochelle—a preschool art teacher at Head Start and a certified trauma-informed youth yoga instructor—and Alexandre Pazmandy—a licensed massage therapist and sound therapy practitioner—met in Northampton, Massachusetts, their shared commitment to care sparked something deeper.

Through ongoing conversations about early childhood development and education, they began to recognize a pressing and often overlooked reality: young children were among those most affected by stress, instability, and unaddressed trauma. At ages when safety, connection, and support are essential, many children are navigating environments shaped by financial hardship, emotional strain, or limited access to resources.

What does it mean for a child of three, four, or five to grow without consistent support? How does emotional stress within a household impact a child’s ability to feel safe and regulated? What happens when experiences of neglect or trauma go unseen or unsupported?

For Tilly and Alexandre, these were not abstract questions—they pointed to an urgent need for accessible, community-based support.

There is an ongoing need to better support the emotional well-being of our youngest community members. Our future lives in their hands, and in their hearts. They deserve care that is attentive, compassionate, and responsive to their lived experiences.

In response, Tilly and Alexandre began designing a program that integrates sound and movement as tools for connection, regulation, and expression—for children, and for the adults who support them.

From this shared vision, Vibes of Change was born: a nonprofit dedicated to creating inclusive, trauma-informed spaces where individuals of all ages can access practices that nurture resilience, awareness, and well-being.
